Up In The Air

After Thank You For Smoking and Juno Jason Reitman's new film is already Up In The Air for 6 Gloden Globe nominations.
I watched the film a couple of days ago and I was wonderfully entertained. It is a very enjoyable and funny film. Jason Reitman got again the perfect balance between comedy and drama. The chosen subject is so bittersweet, that your laughs often stuck.
George Clooney was brilliant. He showed his funny and sad side with so much intense...he's ideal for this film.
Up In The Air is one of the most promising films for this year's Golden Globes and Academy Awards. Very smart, funny, well-written and well-directed.

Also look out for the newcomer actress Anna Kendrick, before this film shortly seen in New Moon and Twilight.

The Road

Yesterday I watched The Road, which turned out as an dazzling and terrifying future perspective!
Viggo Mortensen performance was tremendous and the kid- wow, was also so good! Brilliant camera as well. I enjoyed the film so much!

The world is in ruins after some apocalyptic event. A father and his son walk alone through burned America.

Nothing moves in the ravaged landscape save the ash on the wind and water...

This film gave me the chills...even if I'm thinking about it right now. Definitely worth watching it!!

The Baseballs - Umbrella (Cover)

Best "Umbrella" cover version on the market, I think.
The Baseballs is a German Rock'n'roll cover band founded in Berlin. They make rock'n'roll versions in the style of the 50s of modern hits. Their album "Strike" is brilliant. Check them out!

Miike Snow - Cult Logic

Timelapse from Hiroshima's streets. I don't know who did this video, but it goes perfectly with the music by Miike Snow.
